Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Bangalore
Today on arrival at Bangalore, our representative will assist you at the airport and transfer to hotel (Check in time at hotel is 1400 hrs.). overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Bangalore
After breakfast proceed to sightseeing of Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka. You will begin your sightseeing with Bull Temple, Tipus Palace, Lal Bagh, Ulsoor Lake, Vishveshwarya Technological Museum, Art Gallery and Cubbon Park. Also visit Vidhana Soudha which is made of Granite and was constructed in 1954. You can go for shopping to nearby market in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Bangalore/Shravanabelagola/Hassan (195 Kms/4 Hrs.)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Hassan, enrote visit Shravanabelagola - an important and one of the oldest Jain pilgrimage sites in India. The main attraction of this sacred city is the 17m tall monolithic statue of Lord Gomateshwara, also known as Bahubali, which is said to be one of the tallest and most elegant statues of the world. After visit continue drive to Hassan, on arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Hassan/Belur & Halebid/Shimoga(180 Kms/3 ½ Hrs.)
After early breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Shimoga, en route visit Halebid - a regal capital of Hoysala empire during 12th - 13th century. The Hoysaleswara temple was built during this time by Ketamala (around 1121 AD) and attributed to King Vishnuvardhana, the Hoysala ruler. Visit the beautiful temple complex which comprises the Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples and two Jain basadi. Then drive to Belur - the earlier capital of Hoysala empire. It is just 16 Km away from Halebid Temple. The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakeshava temple complex which contains the Chennakesava Temple as the center piece, surrounded by the Kappe Chennigraya temple built by Shantaladevi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana. After visit continue drive to Shimoga, on arrival check in at hotel. Later if time permit proceed for excursion to Joga water fall (105 kms/3 Hrs drive one way)-the heights waterfall in India. At evening return to Shimoga. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Shimoga/Hospet (230 Kms/5 Hrs.)
After early breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to visit Sakrebailu Elephant Camp (14 Kms drive) - houses number of elephants and these elephants will be trained by experienced Mahouts. Elephants from the nearby forests arrives this place to take bath, have snacks and play in the Backwaters of River Tunga before they go back to the forest. It is an amazing experience to see the elephants playing in water especially for kids (timing 8 AM to 11:30 AM). Later continue drive to Hospet, on arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Hospet/Hampi/Hospet (13 Kms/30 Minutes one way)
After breakfast proceed to visit Hampi - The vast archaeological site. Hampi is now a sleepy town with a single central bazaar and a slowly increasing number of tourists, but during the heyday of the Vijayanagar Empire in the 15th century it was the capital of much of south India. An almost incomprehensibly large site, Hampi encompasses temples, wells, palaces, rock-cut temples, bazaars and even a set of elephant stables- this vast area cannot really be done justice to with words. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : Hospet/Badami via Aihole & Pattadakal (165 Kms/3 ½ Hrs.)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Badami, en route visit Aihole and Pattadakal. Aihole has over 100 temples, mostly Hindu but also Buddhist and Jain, dating from the 4th to the 12th century CE. Nearby Pattadakal is slightly more compact, and the temples more refined. After visit continue drive to Badami, on arrival check in at hotel. Later proceed to visit Badami fort - which is led by an uneven steep and winding flight of steps between caves 2 and 3. Also visit the 5th century Agasthya Tirtha Lake, Bhoothanatha temple & Malegitti temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 : Badami/Gokarna (260 Kms/5 ½ Hrs.)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Gokarna - famous for its beautiful beaches and landscapes. On arrival check in at hotel. Later visit Mahabaleshwar temple and evening relax at Gokarna beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Gokarna/Murdeshwar/Udupi (180 Kms/4 Hrs.)
Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive towards Murdeshwar and visit Trasi Beach, Shiva Statue & Rajagopura. Continue drive to Udupi and check in at hotel. Later proceed to visit Sri Krishna Mutt – A famous Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The unique feature of Shree Krishna Mutt temple is that the Lord is worshipped only through a window with nine holes called the Navagraha Kitiki. The window is exquisitely carved and silver – plated. Also visit Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village and the picturesque Malpe Beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Udupi/Madikeri (Coorg)(190 Kms/4 Hrs.)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Madikeri - also named as Scotland of India. On arriving Madikeri, check in at the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing of Madikeri and visit Abbey Fall, Omkareshwara Temple,
the Madikeri Fort and Gaddige Raja`s Tomb. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 : Madikeri (Coorg)/Nagarhole (90 Kms/2 Hrs.)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Nagarhole. On arrival Nagarhole – situated in an area of 247 miles and the home of tiger, wild elephant, gaur, leopard and dhole. On arrival check-in at the lodge. Take rest for some time and set yourself to go for the exciting expedition to the wildlife sanctuary of Nagarhole and enjoy the adventurous safari by jeep. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 : Nagarhole/Mysore (90 Kms/2 ½ Hrs.)
After Breakfast enjoy coracle ride in Cabini river and witness hoards of elephants and other animals in their natural surroundings. Later check out from hotel and drive to Mysore, which is also known as City of Palaces. Mysore is famous for its huge and impressive palaces, amazing temples and well-constructed buildings, along with pleasant climate. On arrival, check in at hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing of Mysore by visiting - Mysore Palace, zoo & Chamundi Hill. Silk and Sandalwood are two specialties of Mysore. Also visit Krishnarajasagar Dam in evening and enjoy sound and light show in Brindavan Garden. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 : Mysore/Srirangapatna/Bangalore (150 Kms/4 Hrs.) DEPARTURE
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Bangalore, en-route halt at Srirangapatna, covering Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple - enshrines Lord Vishnu as Ranganatha in reclining posture on the bed laid out by the serpent Aadi Sesha. Also visit Dariya Daulat Bagh, "the wealth of the sea", referred to as the summer palace of Tipu Sultan. After visit continue drive to Bangalore and transfer straight to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
