The great Hindu philosopher and reformer Adi Shankaracharya initiated the Char Dham yatra in an attempt to revive the Hindu religion during the 8th century. The word “Char Dham” refers to the four abodes of God, namely Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri at the Himalayan region of Garhwal (Uttrakhand). All these locations are believed to be highly sacred by the Hindu religion. While Kedarnath is home to Lord Shiva and Badrinath is home to Lord Vishnu. Yamunotri represent goddess of Shakti Yamuna and Gangotri represent Goddess of Shakti Ganga.
DAY 01, DELHI – HARIDWAR (220 Kms / 6 Hrs): Pick-up from Delhi railway station/ airport and drive straight to Haridwar. On arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of day free to explore local temples. In the evening visit Hari Ki Pauri & participate in Ganga aarti. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 02, HARIDWAR - BARKOT (178 Kms – 7-8 Hrs): Today morning drive to Barkot. Enroute visit Kempty fall & Lakha Mandal. Arrive Barkot, beautiful small town on Yamunotri road and check into at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03, BARKOT - YAMUNOTRI - BARKOT (35 Kms + 7 kms trek - one side): Today morning drive to Janki Chatti and trek to Yamunotri (Horse/Doli available at your own cost). Yamunotri temple is dedicated to the holy Goddess Yamuna, the Yamunotri temple is a prime attraction of the ancient town of Yamunotri, considered the birthplace of the sacred river Yamuna. After darshan return to Barkot. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 04, BARKOT - HARSIL (155 KMS, 6-7 hrs): Morning drive to Uttarkashi. Arrive in the afternoon & check into the hotel. Upon arrival in Harsil, check-in at hotel. Rest of day at leisure. Harsil is a serene little town that is the perfect place for you to enjoy beauty of nature, mountain, peace and solitude in the lap of nature. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 05, HARSIL - GANGOTRI - UTTARKASHI (26 kms + 99 Kms/01 hrs + 3 hrs drive): Today morning drive to Gangotri (3048 mts). On arrival Gangotri Temple Darshan and later drive to Uttarkashi. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Evening visit Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 06, UTTARKASHI – GUPTKASHI (210 kms / 9 – 10 hrs): Morning drive to Guptkashi. Arrive in the afternoon and check into the luxury tented Camp. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 07, SAME DAY SRI KEDARNATH JI by HELI: After early breakfast leave by vehicle up to Helipad as per the reporting time, do boarding formalities & wait here for your time slot. On arrival at Kedarnath and performed Pooja & Darshan at Temple. Later return to Guptakashi. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 08, GUPTKASHI – SRI BADRINATH JI (190 kms, 8 – 9 hrs): Morning drive to Sri Badrinathji. Arrive Badrinath ji in the evening & check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 09, SRI BADRINATH – RUDRAPRAYAG (156 KMS/6-7 HRS): Morning temple visit. Late morning drive to Rudraprayag. Arrive and check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 10, RUDRAPRAYAG – RISHIKESH (142 KMS, 5-6 HRS: Morning drive to Rishikesh. En route visit Dev Prayag. Arrive Rishikesh & check into the hotel. In the evening visit Triveni Ghat to see Arti ceremony. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 11, RISHIKESH – DELHI - ONWARD DESTINATION: Today morning after breakfast drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival in time transfer to railway station/ airport to board train/ flight back home. *** SERVICES END ***
